Step 3: Add Seasonings and Ingredients

  1. Add the taco seasoning mix to the cooked beef and stir to combine. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
  2. Stir in the enchilada saucerefried beanscorn, and green chilis. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 4: Assemble the Casserole

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with cooking spray or oil.
  2. Place a layer of 4 halved flour tortillas on the bottom of the dish, covering it as evenly as possible.
  3. Spread half of the meat mixture over the tortillas.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over the meat mixture.
  5. Repeat the layers: add another layer of 4 halved tortillas, the remaining meat mixture, and the remaining 1 cup of cheese.

Step 5: Bake

  1. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  1. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!
